New Thought New Zealand hosts a comprehensive directory of all Spiritual and Religious Organizations and Activities in New Zealand.
The people of New Zealand are blessed to live in a land of choice. "Freedom of thought, conscience and religion" is embodied in Article 18 of the U.D.H.R. (Universal Declaration of Human Rights). Freedom of Opinion is embodied in Article 19 of the U.D.H.R. Our choices have a direct impact on how we live and what we do. This includes ones religious path. There are fundamentalist points of view in practically all religions and there are also those who eschew the fundamentalist path and choose a Spiritual journey.
Diversity is one of our countries greatest assets. We are Blessed with Tapu, our very own Maori Spirituality, Tapu has powerful roots reaching back into our deepest heritage. We have welcomed many from other lands and through our beliefs in Freedom of Thought, have given them the freedom to practise their own ways of being. We respect choices. We also expect that all people do the same. We expect all people, Maori and Pakeha to respect the choice of all and to respect the environment (our sacred lands, and waters, as well as all people and their freedoms and Human Rights.

New Zealand is a land with many religious and spiritual paths variations
This directory consists of multiple sections dedicated to the various spiritual paths in our islands. For instance if we look at Abrahamic religions, there are currently four sections, listed in order of creation.
The primary differentiating factor between the Abrahamist faiths are their use of different books. The general rule is that if they add a book (or books), they are a different faith. Thus Jews use the Tanakh & Torah (Old Testament), the Christians add the New Testament; Moslems add the Koran; Mormons add the book of Mormon.
Within these sections, we will find a range of diversity. In Judaism, there are gradiations from Reformed to Orthodox.
In Christianity there is a vast range of groups from Coptic, through Orthodox, then Catholic, Episcopalian, Methodist, Presbyterian, all the way to Jehovah's Witnesses.
In Islam there are groups ranging from various types of Sunni's, through Shiite, all the way to Alowite.
In Mormonism, there is the largest group, centered in the Temple in Salt Lake City. The original Mormons who are called the ReOrganized Church, there are Reform Mormons who use the circle and the V symbol. There are fundamental Mormons who believe in polygynous Marriage. There are a host of other smaller groups who share the basic tenants.
We are constantly improving this directory to insure better access from multiple devices.

"The truth, once announced,
has the power not only to renew but to extend itself.
New Thought is universal in its ideals
and therefore should be universal in its appeal
Under the guidance of the spirit,
it should grow in good works
until it embraces many lands
and eventually the whole world."
--Mr. James A. Edgerton on New Thought Day, August 23, 1915
